quick question about color management
i'm pretty familiar with color management in PS CS, but i have an "ah ha" question about using C1 LE v3.7x.
if i set the output destination (working space) to the profile i use for my printer and paper, is that pretty much soft-proofing my image?
there is not an option for setting conversion to Relative Colormetric or Perceptual, so is that a good thing or bad thing? nor is there an option to specifiy a color engine to do the conversion.
using the printer and paper profile in C1 LE might prove to dramatically reduce workflow time.
thanks in advance
Steve

well, i answered my own question. it's a bad idea to do this, i forgot about using a good working space for one thing. the big issue though is that i ended up getting horrible prints, so for now it's stick to the old methods of converting and printing. 0 -
sgruesen,
The current workflow should include image adjustment with your printer / lab profile set in the Destination ( Working Space ) , this is the way Capture One does soft-proofing.
However, when done, change the color space to Adobe RGB or sRGB or other desired space before processing.
Another option is to leave the Destination ( Working Space ) setting alone, and set the Web Destination to desired color space and select this output at Process tab.

Ok, yes, do the soft-proof and the instead of converting to the actual printer profile, convert it to the working space so any further editing is done within a wide gamut color space and 16bit. then i shouldn't get any big surprises when printing out of say qimage.
