It could be that you try to copy a profile that was not originally designed for your camera? Could that be the case? Which profile are you copying?

Hello and thank you for your answer!

I am setting some profiles that I did myself but I have been using them for years with all the previous versions of capture one (CO6 and CO7) without any problem...

Then it is either CO8 or OS X 10.10 or the combination of both. You can open a support case, but expect your case been halted until 10.10 is supported.

An other option is to make that profile default in the Base Characteristics tool. Yet another option is to make the profile more suitable for your camera from CO8 point of view: what I mean is that you prefix the profile name with the camera name, just like CO8 does. Als a result it will appear listed as your camera profile, not listed as Others. Maybe you already done that.
Yet another trick is to save the profile with Color Editor. This will make it more camera-like for CO8 like I mentioned in the line above.

    Hi Alessandro

Your issue sounds very much like the problem I had with my 5D II that I describe in this thread:

    viewtopic.php?f=55&t=17425

I don't know which version of C1 you are using, but 8.01 caused all the issues for me. In the above thread I didn't even get into the fact that, like you, when shooting tethered the ICC profile would not copy to the next capture. In fact, many of the settings would not copy to the next capture. If you are currently using 8.01, try installing 8.0 instead.

I'm using OS X 10.9.5 so I think that the problems related to tethering with the 5D II come from C1, rather than OS X.

Good luck. Let's hope this is not an ongoing issue that has been introduced.

I started to think about the issue a bit more and decided that it was a suitably ridiculous time of the night here in the UK to do some further testing. I have discovered that (for me in any case) the tethering issues with the 5D II are caused by setting the ICC Profile under 'NEXT CAPTURE ADJUSTMENTS' to anything other than 'Default'; leaving the setting at 'Default' gave solid tethering.

I will submit a support case with my findings so that a fix can be implemented.

I hope this also solves your problem. For now I will just have to apply my ICC profile once I have finished tethering.
