Capture Crashing Tethered
Ok so I've waited to upgrade our machines to Yosemite for Capture to run smoothly, once I heard V8.1 was stable I've gone ahead and upgraded a machine (27" iMac 3.5/4gb video ram/SSD) to yose and have now tried cap 8 on two separate test shoots with nothing but issues. The software is crashing after 7-8 frames, I've tried with and with out auto CL on, I've tried canon mk 2/3 cameras as well as Nikon, multiple usb ports,multiple tether cables,\= multiple capture drives (External/internal) and I can't get it to run stable with out crashing. I've reinstalled it twice now after doing clean un-instals, just nothing and I've submitted about 25 reports to phase ones crash reporter and have gotten zero back. I'm leaving for a campaign in a few days and would love to have cap 8 running on both machines but am fearful that I'll have to put them both on mavericks / cap 7 if no one can assist in any ideas. Any help is appreciated as I've tried all the surface tricks, and

Please create a support case and provide the Crash reports.

I'm just trying to get to the bottom of big problems I'm having with C1 crashing. Can I just ask you... What do you have 'next capture adjustments' set to? Is it set to 'default with styles'? That seems to be the root of my problems.
That said, hope you sorted your issues!

A random thought as I read this.
Are the styles you are using lifted from an earlier version of C1? If so I wonder if they may be using features that have been updated for V8 and so may have some challenges when used as defaults. (Used interactively and individually I would guess that you might get some notification of potential mismatches so it might be worth trying that to see what happens.)
This is a pure guess - not based on any related similar experience.
