Importing a Cop catalog into another Cop catalog

When i am importing a 8.0.2 catalog into my main 8.0.2 catalog, “cop†makes two variants of all the images.
One of the original file, and one containing the edit.

How to import the exact catalog, without adding extra variants?

Running on Mac OS X.
