Process Fuji X RAF very slow
Why do Fuji RAF files (Fuji X-E1 in my case) take four times more time to process than my Nikon NEF (D700) files?
Lately I had to process a larger amount of images than the just few test shots and found it pretty slow. I checked the OpenCL hardware acceleration settings as I thought after an upgrade it turned it off.
But no, all is set for maximum performance already.
I did a small benchmark, processing ten images. First a batch of 10 Fuji RAF files then 10 Nikon NEF files.
The results speak for themself, two tests done in a row with exactly the same conditions.
10 NEF files > 17.181 seconds
10 RAF files > 57.302 seconds
If I knew better I might say that RAF files are not using the OpenCL acceleration. right or wrong? and will this be improved?

The Xtrans pipe is currently CPU only, as it is very different from the Bayer-pipeline. I cannot comment on what the future can bring. 0
