C1 4 with card reader
I liked the way the card reader import window popped up when I put a card in the reader with C1 3.
It does not work this way with vs4. That is OK. But I would like to make the "import from" on C1 4 import always default to the card reader. It will not do this. It always defaults to a random file of exist. images.
I have started a case # on this and have not received any help yet.
Does anybody have any good imformation on this matter? Thanks!

Ted,...3.x used a mini app to monitor removable drives, and as many people use both versions I understand why V4 doesn't have one yet. I always use Explorer to automatically open/import cards...so the miniapp was a PITR for me.....so I'm bumping this for others....
FWIW, perhaps leaving a card in the reader when setting the import folder and only replacing it when you want to import would be a workaround for V4...but AFAIK, setting a removable drive is problematical hence the monitoring apps....my other choice would be to use the mini app from 3.x and always import to a set folder, then set that in V4 as the Capture folder and proceed from there....
I think this might be treated as a feature request by Support...but you should have received a reply on that within a couple of working days....don't know if Mon was a holiday like the US.....<g>...0 -
Support did reply and they are looking into it. Hopefully this be be a feature of a future upgrade. 0
