Will Capture One Pro 6 and Media Pro 1 run on my old iMac?
Hi,
I have the last, white 24" iMac model from 2006, 2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 3 Gb RAM, running Snow Leopard,
Graphics card: NVidia 7600 GT 256 Mb RAM (I don't think it's openGL enabled, I can slide the image across the workspace in Photoshop CS5, though).
Currently: Capture One 5.2.1.
Will an upgrade to Capture One Pro 6 and Media Pro 1 run on this old machine?
thanks,
Robert

I just saw the minimum requirement is 4 Gb RAM.
I only have 3 Gb RAM, and that's the maximum. Looks like I can't upgrade.0 -
Since CO 6.3 the minimum RAM requirement is raised from 2 to 4 GB. I run CO Pro 6 on a late 2006 model MacBook Pro with 3 GB RAM (=max.), and it runs but that's it. So the 4 GB (preferably 8 GB) is not exaggerated in particular if you work with adjustments layers and keystone corrections (applies to CO Pro 6).
If you consider upgrading CO6, consider upgrading your Mac as well, to stay happy.0 -
Thanks, Paul.
I'll wait with the upgrade until upgrade my computer.
Capture One 5 runs well, so I won't disturb my well working post production line.0
