Locating numerous files at a time.
I learned how to locate numerous files at a time (useful if one creates a catalogue on a laptop on a trip and then move it to an external drive when one gets back home or at the office) by clicking on the Library Tab, and then “right clicking†on the folders that have a warning triangle under Macintosh HD; All it takes it to then find the new location on the external drive where one copied the imported files.
BUT, I somehow goofed and these folders in Capture One are now empty; but they still exist on my external hard drive, and I can see them under All Images under Catalogue Collections in the Library Tab. The problem now, however, is that I can only locate these files ONE AT A TIME, no longer by batch. Having thousands of pictures to “locateâ€, the question is HOW in one simple manipulation? Any ideas?

Well, I guess no one knows... So I'll have to import the missing files again - but that means they won't benefit from any corrections I made. ☹️ 0 -
You should not import files again and CO8 will probably refuse it if they are referenced (and they are, otherwise you would not have this issue).
If you have trouble re-location images, please be aware that you can do this from the Library > Folders section per folder or disk.0 -
Paul;
Thank you. But I must admit you lost me when you say:

Sorry I confused you. It was quite a brief statement. 🤭
Can you locate the Library tool? It has three section: Catalog Collections, User Collections, Folders.
In that Folders section, can you the Catalog object and below that your disk(s) and folders?
You can right-click on either the disk or a folder object and choose Locate.
Hope this is more clear and please let me know where you got stuck in case you do.0 -
Thank you !
All appears normal now
