Saving of Images to C1pro and local CF card
Im currently evauating C1pro with a 20D, tethered. All seems well so far, but something I miss from use of other tethered operation is the ability to have the images saved to the camera CF card and downloaded to the application. It a backup issue, I like to have 2 copies all the time, Ive lost to many hard drives to trust a days work on a PC.
Can C1pro be configured to allow it to save to the camera CF card as well as download and display. Or can it be configured to automatically process images without change to another directory in the background as you are shooting, granted this will use much more space, but its worth its weight in gold when youve lost work!!
cheers
Andy

Andy,
This is not possible in Capture One. I believe it is a function of the Canon software exclusively for writing to both locations simultaneously.
Any ways, I admire your back-up policy... it is so very easy to do that no photo Session should be lost.
Back-up Once is Good
Back-up Twice is Great
Some make the mistake of backing up image files to different locations, but on the exact same drive... lose the drive and lose all.
A CD, DVD, 2nd internal Hard Drive or an External Hard Drive are the media of choice that should be used to back-up. I don't necessarily agree that this back-up has to be Real Time while shooting. Back-up can occur at the end of a photo session, mid day, or at the end of a day's work, or whenever it lessens your concern. I've seen a School photo shoot where the photographer paused after each 100 students to continue writing to another device for a back-up.
Hope this helps you out.
Sincerely,
kc0
