Project not showing images in Albums within

maybe I'm profoundly confused, but I have a problem on my windows machine.
When I try to organise some images in Projects and Albums within it... When I click on the project it should show all images in it, right? On my MacOS Laptop it does exactly that, and it would be really helpful.
So, my question is simply: Does the windows version simply not support this, and on mac it does?
What is strange is that in the browser window it says: 20 photos. But does not display them.
I am secretly hoping there is a checkbox like: Show photos inside ( ) or something like that, that I have missed

I have not used projects but albums and folders do not roll up normally so to see the contents of sub folders. You have to select sub folders one at a time. Is possible to create an all photos smart collection for the project so you can get to that view of everything easily? 0
