Image preview is soft/not sharp
Hei.
Im trying out Capture one 8. I like the software but its one thing frustrating.. The preview of the image is not sharp, its littelbit soft. When i zoom out its sharp a fraction of a second. But the exported version to jpg is 100% sharp. Im Running on a iMac 27" OSX 10.9.4
Image to the left is exported to .jpg.
Hope somebody can help 😉 Is there some settings i must change ?

Since noby answer me i can give you the answer got from support 😊 his behaviour is normal with Fit view as it is a calculation - preview in this context is exactly that. Just a preview.
Fit view is a compromise between scaling and scaling artifacts.
Some sharpness is sacrificed other wise aliaising and moire would make for more unpleasent previews.
As such it is how it is. Sorry.
Im testing trail version of lightroom, it seems that lightroom is sharper in preview mode. But i like the way i work in Capture one better 😉
Any other than me having the same problem ?0 -
I don't have the problem, but what is the real problem? Is it affecting your images, either the source or the processed images?
For certain reasons, as explained by support, trade offs are made to bring the most suitable preview, fast enough.
Always when looking at an image at less than 100%, it is scaled somehow. And that will bring artifacts.
One way of dealing with that, or to lessen the effect, is to buy a bigger monitor.0
