batch renaming of captures missing?

Is there a way to batch rename captures as in CO3? I know batch renaming is possible for output files but can't figure out how to rename captures. It was a tool I used in almost every session when shooting to CO3 and I really miss it in 4.

  Select the images to rename, right click (ctrl click) and select batch rename.

  But just be aware that you have to select the last image of a series to cntrl click on, otherwise the renaming will skip the image you have highlighted, then you have to go back and rename it manually. It is a bug which hasn't been repaired in 4.6, I'm not sure about 4.6.1.

  in the contextual menu there is no way to set the number to start renaming from or the number of digits. is there a way to do this somewhere else in the software? 3.7 had this in the rename window.

  DEAR PHASE, PLEASE MAKE IT EASIER TO BATCH RENAME, THE DAYS OF 3.7.9 Had it right, why make life difficult???
