Brush tool in Local Adjustments not turning into Eraser
Anyone else getting this?
only way to get the Brush to turn into the Eraser is to press the E key instead of just holding down Alt - have sent in a support request.

I asked about this over at the Mac board. It seems that it's by design that it doesn't do that any more, with the Alt key now doing something else. I have had to start getting used to using E or B instead, but actually I think that is not too bad, and I should always have done it that way - you don't have to keep holding down the Alt key!

Oh really? thanks Ian.. well that sucks, I have a button on my Wacom stylus set to ALT - will have to map some buttons on my tablet instead then ☹️ 0 -
I didn't know about the ALT shortcut; I used 'e' and 'b'
So, I never knew I could use ALT as a toggle on the tablet :^)
At least one other shortcut has changed as well.
I liked the shortcut of using mouse scroll wheel to move selected point on curves. That shortcut was not previously available on Mac versions.. I am pretty sure not. Anyway, I miss it in v8. Now the arrow keys must be used.
I wonder if changes to shortcuts are to get Mac and Win versions more aligned. This is only a guess on my part. I do know the Mac version has some desirable aspects to it. So, if the move is to align them, the overall effect might be good for Win version.0 -

Cant you just use the eraser on the pen then? Or is flipping the pen around not ideal in your workflow?

yeah, i guess that's a possible solution, although in my 22 years of using a Wacom, I've found it faster to use a side switch, press a button on the keyboard than to flip the pen over..
i'll give it a go, thanks 😊0 -

I agree, but as long as we know that option works we can go from there.0 -
