How to work with photoshop effectively
Hi,
I downloaded C1 today to give a shot. I do noticed that C1 give a much better skin tone on portrait photos compare to lightroom. So I made adjustments for one photo in C1, then open with photoshop for further editing. However, when the photo is opened PS, the colorful and vivid photo I edited in C1 turns into a dull photo in PS just like I open the raw file in lightroom. I thought, when I open the photo in PS from C1, the vivid color and carry over for further effective editing.
Am I doing anything wrong? What should be the right work flow if I want to take advantage of C1 for initial editing and hand it over to PS for detail editing. I would like to keep the great skin tone from C1 to PS. How should I do it? Any input is appreciated.
P.S. I right clicked on the photo I edited in C1 and selected "open with" photoshop. Is this the wrong way to do?

Yes, "open with" is the wrong thing. That opens the original raw image in PS instead of in C1. (You could then if you wanted start to make adjustments in PS, but you are starting from scratch again.)
Instead you want "edit with". When you choose that you get a dialog box that allows you to choose the format to export it in (TIFF, JPEG, etc) as well as a colour profile and the app to open it in (Photoshop, Affinity etc).
