You haven't lost access to version 11. Your version 11 product code won't work any longer, though, but you can use your version 12 product code with it.

You mean that I can activate version 11 with the version 12 serial number? I will try that.

It has always been a bit of a puzzle to me what getting an update does for the previous version of software. Some companies say that you get a reduced price because you lose access to the previous version and some companies allow you to continue to use the previous version. There does not seem to be a common policy so I just assumed I lost access when I got the "not activated" message.

I just upgraded from version 11 to 12 and wanted to set up my editing environment as I had it set in version 11. Basically in version 11 I removed all of the tabs that I did not need or use, added custom tabs and set the adjustments in those tabs to the order and combinations that I find most easy to use. The idea was to set up version 12 in an identical way.

If you go to Library -> Application support -> Capture One -> workspaces, you should find there your customised workspaces, provided you have saved them.
But, in principle, these workspaces should be automatically transferred when going from C1 version N-1 to C1 version N.

Hmm. No such folder on my system so I guess I just changed the UI and never saved it. Well, that will be a lesson to me for the future.

    Thanks.

Hi, the folder workspace exists after saving one. And the folder library is the hidden one (mac), Reg. lars

The Finder being open, click "Go To" with Alt/option key pressed, and you will see the hidden "Library" folder from which you can access the mentioned path.

The problem was not that I could not get to the "hidden" Library. In fact I have that as a direct link in the sidebar in Finder. The issue was that the Workspace subfolder did not exist since I had never saved the workspace in version 11. I recreated it in version 12 manually, then saved it and now the subfolder is there.
