In my experience, the programmers are much more likely to respond to your (reasonable) request if you raise a support case. All the cases I have raised have been dealt with quickly and thoroughly. Have you raised a case on this issue?

That is exactly what I have been trying to do but every time I get an error that is been logged by the web site. So I am not any further.
It is so very frustrating that after waiting for an update for some time, just when we get into the groove of a new work flow including C1, something like that happen.
It remains me like what you read about Dxo works great when it works.
There most certainly be more firmware update for the K20D so I am now wondering if it make sense to keep this workflow or go back to mainstream ACR. Thisis too bad because I got to love working with C1 after the recent update.

I have no problems in logging on to Phase One support, so I have taken the liberty of raising a case myself, quoting Jürgen's post. There is of course every advantage in you following up the case with one of your own, if/when you can log on, to remind Phase One of the problem.

    Thank you.
I have now been able to create a case number.
Hopefully other Pentax users will do the same so that we might get some action from Tech support.

    Cheers,

    Hello,

We have received a couple cases and raw files. Thank you! Everything has been forwarded onto to testing and R&D so that a fix can be created. I do not have a time frame for a fix however.

    Thanks Jon.
Hopefully it is an easy fix that does not get to the back of the priority list and we can go back to using C1 soon.

    Cheers,

I got a fast answer from tech support 😄
The new firmware changes the manufacturer name from Pentax Corporation to Pentax. It looks like C1 uses this tag to identify the file. Indeed if you take a hex editor and change the above in the PEF, then C1 can read it no problem 😊
Now this will be changed in the new maintenance release for C1 - the only question is when 😭
In the meantime if somebody is good with hex editor, it will be nice to be able to change this directly in the firmware to produce "Pentax Corporation" PEF of the camera.

    Cheers,
