remove collection

I imported 300 pictures into Capture One. However, the folder from which I got them is misnamed, I'm not exactly sure they are the correct photos from today, so I just want to delete them of out C1 and start over.

While in the Library, I right clicked on the Untitled Collection, but "Delete Remove Collection" and "Delete Album" are both grayed out.

I'm using a trial version of C1 4.1

  Same here. I would delete the folder from Windows Explorer (preferrably CO4 closed or at least not opened to that folder) and start CO4 again.

  Good idea, that leads to another question. Where would I find the C1 collection folders in Windows Explorer?

  My Documents\\My Pictures\\Capture One Library This assumes you didn't change anything in the import settings. ( don't bother with the import function myself )

  If you don't import, how do you get pictures into C1? (I'm new enough to the program to have lots of questions):-)

  Download photos ( RAW's for me ) to a directory on the computer, then use the folder tree displayed in C4 to go to that folder of photos.
  
  Importing photos..... sounds like a Lightroom thing. 😊
  
  The photos on the photo drive are backed up regularly and as that drive fills it is then taken off line and archived itself along with the DVD backups in secure storage.

  The first RAW processor I used was Lightroom. But for whatever reason, it won't work right on one of my computers.

  Steve is quite correct, but there may be an even easier way.
  
  If your DAM or image manager (I use BreezeBrowser, but there are many others, including some free ones) supports opening a file in an image editor, you can set C1 as your editor, select a RAW file and open that file and its folder in C1 with a single key press (and a short wait). Close C1 when you are finished, and you are back in your image browser to look at the conversions.
  
  This makes things very smooth, but it does require a system with some power and a good deal of RAM to work best. I currently use an Athlon 64 with 2GB of RAM on XP Pro, and it sometimes struggles, but that is probably because my Windows installation is well past its sell by date. Hopefully, the quad core with 4GB of RAM (and therefore, sadly, Vista) which is sitting next to me awaiting installation will improve things ...
