    Hi

Yesterday I had to replace the Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.2 discussed above due to a fault.

The replacement is exactly the same processing time, 55 seconds, dramatically slower than the older Macbook Pro Core Duo .

    Any possible explanations?

Is it due to the new Santa Rosa Intel CPU?

    Best regards

    Ian

    Hey Ian,
are you sure both machines have the same version of capture one?
I made the experience that for some reason version 3.7.7 is slower than 3.7.6.
    Maybe to avoid heating problems...?

Anyway interesting issue. Anybody else for Ian?

    Hi Christoph

The same version of Capture One (V3.71) was used on both machines and also on the replacement .

It will be very interesting to find out the reason and I am looking forward to hearing from Phase One.

    Best regards

    Ian

    Update the Program
3.7.4 was first version to be Intel Mac compatible and great progress has been made through to current version of Capture One 3.7.7

    Hi

    Problem now solved!

It is my fault, I did not upgrade to the latest V3.77 which is Intel compatible.

To be honest, I have been processing most of my work using PC and didn't realise there was an Intel compatible version released for Mac....

Processing on the new Macbook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.2 is now flying - 19 seconds per raw file!!

Totally delighted, thanks for your help
