    Hi Jonathan,

When you open images you adjusted with CO6, in CO7, CO7 does apply the CO6 engine to prevent changes. Upgrading the engine to CO7 might alter your image (makes it typically darker, but not always).

Can you confirm whether the change in CO7 occurs with the CO6 engine?

    Hello Paul,

Yes, I haven't upgraded the engine.
In BASE CHARACTERISTICS tool, Engine is Capture One 6

All I have done is to archive v6, replace with v7 in Applications folder, open it, open a session.

    Regards,
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for the update. I suspect that even with the CO6 engine, some sliders are more effective. I think in particular of the HDR slider. Did you use them in CO6 for the images you opened in CO7.

I have to get deeper into this myself, we are all just scratching the surface here, aren't we? 😉

    Hi Paul,

Yes we had a bit of shadow recovery on the file, but the issue seems to be with contrast and perhaps a bit of exposure and saturation. Whatever it is, they're not the same grade, and this makes work, makes the upgrade path a steep one.

    Regards,
    Jonathan
