It is, as far as I know, not possible to automatically apply settings with the hot folder feature like it is with tethered capture with Capture One.

Is there a release date for the ability to tether straight to the mac for C1 pro ? Our studio recently purchased a 5d3, but it is basically a paper weight without this option. A nice paperweight yes. Help.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I really wish I could apply settings this way also with hot folders (the only option is to do it manually). Why phaseone? Shame on you! Lightroom can do this automatically and has been doing it since version 2 (auto import).

I work for a busy eccom website in London and recently convinced them to buy capture one to shoot raw and improve image quality (having second thoughts about it now) as previously we were justing shooting jpegs and using Bridge. Its essential to have a live full screen preview of garments as they are shot, to enable the stylist to see anything that needs to be changed straight away. As phase one has not implemented "live view" for canon with built in tethering we are still stuck with using eos utility. Also the editor is tagging, processing images, renaming files etc on the other screen (we have dual monitors) we cant take advantage of the last image shot function from the hot folder either.

Its been very annoying trying to setup a workflow for them to what they have been use too.

What camera do you use that you can not tether to CO 6?

We are using canon 5 d mark 2. Yes we can tether (did you read my post?) but with phase ones built in tether we do not get live view (it says its unsupported when we click on the live view camera button). So hence we have to use eos utilitiy.

So capture one pros no solution to applying styles automatically to images in hot folders? Or is there another way to get a live preview using the built in tether within Capture one? We are using 2 monitors so can we maybe have the latest image display in another window on the other monitor while editing on the second monitor? Can you set
"viewer" to monitor a latest image?

Please help this is driving me nuts trying to setup this workflow efficiently.

    Hello,

Re yr editing dilemma. Have you tried in Capture one turning on the 'Auto Pause' function at Camera/Auto select new capture/auto pause?
Or just set auto select new capture to 'Never'. This may help yr AD to edit on the fly. Or use an iPad with capture pilot? Does that help with that problem?

With the settings, you can't auto apply except when tethered with c1. Shift apple v!

    Regards,
    Jonathan

Thanks for the suggestion Jonathan but it does not work as a "live view" workaround. Yes we have ipad working with capture pilot in another room for the studio manager but its not of use directly for the team as we have a second 30" screen devoted to "live view" to see details on garments etc.

EOS utility is working fine for this for now. Just wish hotfolders could apply presets, styles etc and it would then be perfect.
