catalog offline
-RESOLVED-
Hi, trying hard not to be driven to distraction... After a stupid mistake this morning I had to reload a Catalog database from the automatic backup, following the instructions (e.g. 'Show Package Contents'). All seemed to go smoothly as I now have the Catalog showing all the images with the correct up-to-date adjustments. Unfortunately, all the images are now showing as 'Offline'. The images are all referenced images and are in a folder structure of 'Image date/Color Tag/Rating', created automatically on import to the Catalog from a Session folder, keyworded etc. I have not moved the folders and can see that the path is still correct when I right click on any image to 'Show parent folder in Library'. I can think of no other option other than to use the 'Locate' feature to re-establish the connection. For some reason, this is causing a secondary folder structure to be created on the drive, with exactly the same folder structure, except for a new parent folder at the start to differentiate it from the original. And it still remains offline! I am at a loss. Any suggestions that will help me to go off smiling into the weekend?... There are a lot of images.
Nervously,

Just thought I'd reply to myself... After spending way too long trying to resolve the issue, I gave up and shut down for the day. Thought I'd better have one last try before heading home in a grumpy state to make enemies of the children. Rebooted, opened C1, now all is well, like nothing ever happened! I'd previously quit and restarted all the software, disconnected the drives, but hadn't gone as far as shutting the whole thing down. So, I have the right result, just no answers. Should have resorted to the tried and tested method of shutting down hours ago!
Have a great weekend,
