C1 - Very Disappointed
Hi,
Have Phase one lost the plot ?
I have been a user of C1 Pro now for several years and must say I have not found anything that comes close to quality conversion and workflow.
But now I find myself with 3 Canon (1dsmkiii, 1dmkiii and G9) cameras and no support for any of them.
This is supposed to be professional software for professional photographers....so why can't I use it !!!
Adobe have had support for all 3 camera for some time now so there are no excuses why 3.7.8 was not released months ago.
I suggest you look after and support your existing premium customers before diverting all your software resource to your next product. and buggy beta releases.
I feel very let down and my patience is wearing thin and I am now thinking of taking the desparate measure of replacing C1Pro with Lightroom as it is my only option.

I have been steaming about this for 3 months. I also have a MKIII, and the response you will get is that there is beta support in version 3.7.7. I was wanting to add an E3 to my bag, but I'm sure that there won't be any support for that cam for a long time. I feel like there are many cameras out there that I would like to own, but unless I am willing to use Adobe, I cant buy these cameras. I process 500+ images per week and it has taken me years to streamline my workflow. Switching gears to other software should NOT be what
is required for professional users.0 -

I don't have any of those new cameras you mention, but I do have an external eSATA drive that when turned on or off causes Capture One to deactivate. This is a real pain. The folks at C1 know all about it, but have taken close to a year and still NO fix in the software.
Heck, even Windows XP Pro does not deactivate when the eSATA is turned on and off. So, I have the external drive running as a USB 2.0.0 -
I feel your pain ... I also have the 1D Mark III ... LE 3.7.7 WILL open the M III files and there's a profile for the camera, but all the exposures are too dark by about 1.2 stops and when you fill out a support form they say 'that camera isn't supported' ...
Meanwhile I bought the excellent new Jeff Schewe book "Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS3" and am reading that to see how to get the most from my RAW files with ACR. They keep improving the interface with Bridge, making it easier to preview and process large numbers of files (something ACR used to be weak in).
I've been using Capture One for years, since Version 1.3.1 when it was far and away the industry standard, and am very disappointed in the slow support for new camera models.

Looks like it may be time to check out the competition, as I don't see any effort for C1 to keep its customers. No response here and in other threads begging for information on when the "new cameras" would be supported (considering some have been out almost a year now). 0 -
