Ratings Disappearing
My ratings are disappearing on me. I find it happen when I have the "Auto Sync Sidecar XMP" on full or load... and neither configuration of prefer xmp or sidecar checkbox helps the issue.
Basically it plays out like this: I will rate an image and then move off to another image to rate and the previous image will lose the rating I set. It obviously has something to do with writing the rating to the xmp file or not writing it... or the xmp is over writing the the capture one session file for the image or the other way around.
I can turn off the auto sync and everything functions fine. I like being able to write the ratings to the xmp files so I can use them in other apps like LR or Bridge.

I had this issue too and was never able to get it resolved. My work around was to use PhotoMechanic to do all my ratings and then import into C1 and to never use AutoSync.
My advice is for you to create a support ticket and if enough people complain, perhaps they'll decide to fix it. But I'm sure the answer you'll get instead is for you to turn AutoSync off or to use their Catalog feature.0
