CO 6.1.1 does not use the option "Embedded Camera profile"?
Hello,
I installed CO 6.1.1 and developed an image. If I want to export the picture with an embedded Camera Profile (for a Phase One P40+), Photoshop CS5 opens it with sRGB profile, because this profile is embedded. I already tried it with another ICC Profile (Outdoor Daylight, Flash, ...) with no success. Because that's my default setting, I know that it works fine in earlier versions.
Does anybody have the same problem? can somebody check it please?
Best regards,
Michael
PS: If I export it with eciRGB it works fine.

In case of any doubt, delete your process recipe and create a new one from scratch. 0 -
I think that is the problem. Thanks for your tip. 0 -
Now I found the problem ... and the solution.
If I use an additional layer and export the the file with embedded camera profile, CO attached the sRGB profile. If I switch off all additional layers and export, the correct icc profile is embedded. Grrrrr -> therefore the "new" function "layers" are not useable.
Can somebody test this problem on his machine?

Can't reproduce the error. Always embeds camera profile.
P40+ image, CO Pro 6.1.1, 1 local adj. layer, tiff 8- or 16-bit, embed camera profile, open with CS5, OS X 10.5.8.0 -
Thanks for testing! Now I deleted the receipt and I have made a new one. The result is the same. If I switch off the layer the camera profile is embedded, if I switch it on the profile is not embedded.
Now I opened a support case.

yes, it happens when you add a layer with color edits.
It's not a bug and it is there since layers were introduced.
Color edits in the color editor physically alter the camera profile. So you have one camera profile on the background layer and another camera profile on the upper layer ... and there is no way to merge the two profiles into one.
If you want to use color edits on layers you have to set a different color profile as output recipe (ProPhotoRGB or whatever you prefer).0 -
Makes sense, thanks for explaining. 0 -
Thanks for explantation. The support confirmed it.
