Importing w 7-1-5?

So I'm finding that the last update and now also on 7.1.5, I'm having an impossible time importing images from existing file folders. Often, once I select the files I wish to import into a new session, there is a pause in performance, no ability to even slide the size of the interface window (as if it's processing). But finally, once the import dialog is passed by, NOTHING really happens and no files are properly imported.

I've even tried to beat the system and cut/paste .NEF files from a folder into the "Selects" folder of the CO7 Session I just built.

Is anyone having ANY similar issues? I've been so screwed by this that I've had to go late and bring the folders into Lightroom5; which kills me. Tethered capture is relatively fine and stable.

Is there a known thing to investigate?
