Upgrade Question
I've been running C1 ver 6.0.1 on a Vista Laptop for quite some time. Amazingly, no problems, except now it seems my laptop is having video issues. I have a new 64 bit machine on order and plan to upgrade to version 7. But I'm also thinking of getting the laptop fixed. The question is, once I "upgrade" C1 to version 7, will I still be able to use my 6.0.1 installation on the laptop? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use your new CO7 key to activate CO6 as long as you have have activations available (2 activations per key). When you upgrade your CO6 key to CO7, the CO6 will be disabled but you can use your CO7 key as noted. 0 -
Thank you for the clarification. But so I understand completely, with version 6 running on my 32 bit laptop, I could then purchase a new 64 bit machine, and install version 6 (64 bit download) on the new machine. I would now have used my two activations.
I could then download the version 7 trial on the new machine. The new machine now has verson 6 (licensed) and the trial verion of 7 for comparison. Assuming I want to then follow through with the upgrade to version 7 on the the new 64 bit machine, I would wind up with verions 7 on the new machine and version 6 on the old machine, maintaining my two activations.

Correct?
As Paul says, Correct.
Though possibly not very useful unless you keep the 32bit machine with C1 V6 for legacy purposes.
