HELP - Unable to launch Media Pro
Hi,
I have constant problems with Media Pro crashing across 3 Macs (iMac, MBP and MacPro all less than 1 year old) - I can live with that although not ideal. However my problem today is worse. The system reports an error with a catalog and attempts to recover it. This process then crashes after about 20 minutes. I cannot break the cycle. I have moved the corrupt catalog to a different location on my drive. I have removed the hard drive that the catalog referes to and I have downloaded and re-installed the latest version of Media Pro - all to no avail. The system still sees a faulty catalog and attempts to recover it then crashes. Can you help please or should I just give up on this software and write it of as a loss? Thanks for any help. Alan

1. Close MediaPro - Make sure that all dependent processes are locked down: Brdt esx to check is Activity Monitor, Searh for "Med" there mighteban instance of MP running, their might run one, two, or three MediaPro Importer Daemons - kill all of them.
2. Delete the media pro preferences ~/Library/Caches/Phase One Media Pro Scratch Æ’
Probably a good choice is to restart the whole system prior to restart MP
AND TAKE INTO CONSEDRATION THAT THE CORRUPT CATALOGUE IS FROM NOW ON A NO-GO!
It is corrupt and will corrupt MP every time you try to open the corrupted catalogue. Hopefully you backed up your catalogs!0
