Wacom Intuos Pro Pen Pressure - I Think?
Hello,
I'm having real problems with my new Wacom Intuos Pro Medium tablet in that I have the pens set for Capture One so that...
Tilt Sensivity - High
Top of Rocker - Right Click
Bottom of Rocker - Click Lock
When I click and hold on a setting such as the Crop in the toolbar the drop down menu doesn't appear.
When I click and hold an a setting such as the Crop in the toolbar with my mouse the drop down menu appears.
It's driving me mad setting up the Wacom! ☹️
I wish I knew how to insert images as others have managed but can't find out how to do it?

Richard,
Thank you.
I was getting close to seriously contemplating buying one of these but having got out of the habit of using a tablet and then reading about issues related to set up and nib life ... I think I'll pass for now.
I do have a "bamboo" type device from years ago (Actually Serif branded) so I may have a go with re-adapting to that first and take things from there. Used to use an identical item some years ago but for some reason I no longer recall I moved away from it and never found a need to go back.

Grant,
I used to have a smaller Wacom tablet, the Pen and touch but getting the Intuos Pro has made my life even easier.
It's a dream to use, smooth and precise.
i've now found that id I use the Righ Click feature of the pen the menu's I couln't expand now expand.
I think it's just getting used to the Wacom 'foibles'.
Try an Intuos Pro, you won't be disappointed.0 -

You'll have to put them a photo hosting website and link to them, such as flickr, imgur, your own website, etc.
Have you tried messing with the Windows Ink settings to see if that changes anything?
I use an Intous tablet and besides the annoying mask problem (which switching off windows ink seems to cure), it behaves as it should, right clicks, drop down menus, etc.[quote="SFA" wrote:

Never found Nib life to be an issue and setup wasn't a problem for me besides figuring out the masking bug issue CO. If you are frequently doing any drawing actions, masks, cloning, etc, I'd recommend revisiting a tablet, I can't imagine not having a one any longer. It is very frustrating to go back to a mouse for that type work once you're used to the tablet. If you're mostly pushing/pulling sliders, curves, spot healing, then the tablet won't be of much use, I still use the mouse for those things.0 -
Using a previous application and in my early use of C1 I used a small tablet and found it very useful but in more recent times my 64bit system is a Notebook which I always use as a laptop and that means I use the trackpad and keyboard.
It has one of those button joystick things as well but I don't have the patience to become competent with it though I suspect it might well be quite a competent tools for drawing masks.
Having got into the habit I find I don't use the office desk for any notebook based activity - other than it being the location of a second monitor when I get around to plugging it in.
I was getting erratic results form my old low end pad but things were better when I plugged in a spare I had bouthg some time ago. I think the main problem was the old pen - the nib was wuite worn and flat on one side giving erratic results. The old pad and the new pen were better but the old pad surface was clearly beyond its best too as I found when I used both new units together.
My earlier comments on nib wear are partly based on that experience and partly on reviews on-line although I think it is possible that those reviews referred to a different version of the Intuous used for artwork creation and that might suggest a rather different level of surface contact wear than would be the case for photo editing.
Nevertheless thank you both for your encouragement. I probably should refresh my opinion starting with a sustained session with the low end device I already have since that offers a close match to the functionality of the touchpad and would allow me to compare the basic hand movement and coordination differences once again.

I'm using a Wacom for years with CO, never had any problems.
You probably should have a look at the Windows settings of pen input too
I've got my pen setup with the
top (most far away from the tip) as double click
bottom as right click0 -
I plugged in the older "bamboo" style pad and picked up the newer pen (the old one not only has a flattened nib but the soft touch coating has gone sticky. Nib not replaceable.) and it seemed to be incredibly sensitive with a mind of its own.
Then I noticed the case was cracked at the nib end ... no idea why that should be.
I doubt it will repair successfully given that usage requires it to withstand some pressure. I'm not sure which of the current Wacom stylus offerings might work with the pad - but then again the stylii alone seem to cost almost as much as a new low end Bamboo pad anyway.
Maybe I need to make that investment in the larger Intuous ...
