Edit variant Capture One 9x for Sony...Windows7
When I choose "Edit With" under the file menu and the edit options panel opens I have only two options...Edit or Cancel.
The Edit Variant panel...shown colored orange in the http://blog.phaseone.com/quick-round-trip-photoshop/ does not appear.
I am new to Capture One and wondering if I am missing something in the set up or is this option not available in the Pro Sony version?

Good to hear!
Sometimes when UI designers try to cover possible question in advance (Like differentiating between edit and edit variant in an attempt to eliminate possible confusion) it leads to situations whereby training guides (of all sorts) either miss the nuance in order to avoid becoming too bloated or include every little detail and run the risk that some readers or viewers will claim the information is impenetrable! They cannot win with us ....
That said being very new to a product or an area of a product that one has not approached before can be more than a little challenging if we are not relaxed about the process for some reason.
For example I really like tools like adjustment layers in C1 and one or two other photo editing applications I am familiar with and that are different but generically similar in how they work. But give me Photoshop layers (or any similar product) and beyond the most basic offerings they never ever seem to do what I want them to do.
I think I understand the general idea of them - but actually driving them means that THEY drive ME nuts.
Oh! for a perfect and perfectly intuitive system! I doubt I will see one (of any complexity) in my life time.
