What are differences between C1 7.x and C1 8.x?
I've been unable to find a clear description of the differences between C1-7 and C1-8 on the PhaseOne web site. The nearest thing is a page with some paragraphs with "New" written next to them, but these descriptions appear to be of things that are already in C1-7.
This might be because it is there and I've not found it, or might be that it is not there.
If it is there, could someone reply with a link the appropriate page?
If it is not there, I would be grateful for any insights forum users have concerning where the differences between the two versions are.
Without this information, it is hard to know if the upgrade is useful / worth paying for.

Read the "New" paragraphs carefully.
What you will see is that we now have cloning, local white balance adjustments, added film grains, as well as other improvements.0 -

Windows machine but these things should be similar
Increased speed has been noted but it was really noticeable for me.
Handling of highlights with HDR tool is much improved.0 -
I suggest you go through the release notes of CO8. You can download it from the same page as the software (just scroll the page a bit). The notes outline the major differences feature wise. 0 -
Just gave the (totally unexpected to me b.t.w.!) new version 8 a spin. It's actually in my language, that takes some getting used to.
I upgraded immediately, just because of the new Highlight/Shadows tool. This is really an improvement that makes a difference to me. I can start throwing some photoshop actions out of the window!
*EDIT*
After spending some more time in CO1v8: batch CA correction, highlight recovery on a layer. This is one fine release!! The images also just look better when performing edits, of course most noticeably the HDR tool, which looks very natural to me.
There are certainly benefits to upgrades that focus on image quality.
