C1 and Tiff files still a nightmare
I'm sorry but I do not understznd at all how tiff files are handled by C1. Here is what I noticed :
If I create a tiff file with C1 DB from a IIQ file I can import it again in C1 without any problem and I can preview it in the import window.
If I open it in photoshop CS6, edit it, and save it "as copy" (no alpha channel, about 300 Mo file) tiff with zip compression, I can import it, but I can't see the thumbnail image in the import window, I can only see the file blank thumbnail with the file name. After import, I can edit it in C1 7.1.2 DB.
But for tiff files coming from scanned 6x6 slides (epson V700) and saved from photoshop (no alpha channel, 150-300 Mo files, zip compression or no compression) I can see the blank thumbnail with file name in import window and import it but I can't edit it in C1 nor export it.
If I copy/past image from scanned tiff into C1 exported tiff file and save it in photoshop, I only see a blank thumbnail in import window but once imported I can edit it in C1...
I really do not understand the logic of that... If you could explain it to me...

Editing tiff or jpeg is not a feature of the DB version. You need Pro for that. 0 -
This what I thought but why can edit some of them ? 0
