I can't find the setting for monitor profile like 3.7.7 had... where is it?
You are not allowed to change the monitor profile. Because you could do something wrong :-/
I asked for that since beta 1. But we are talking about one of the "improvements" in V4. So forget it. No chance to change it. You have to set the right monitor profile as system profile first (and you probably have to restart the computer - or you have a tool that forces a change of the monitor profile like eg. "Display Profile" of Gretagmacbeth or sth. similar).

if they wish to remove the problem of user error, capture one should do as photoshop does and auto-detect the profile of the monitor it is currently displayed on (not the one the application is initially started on - I believe this is where the problem lies). Then you could move C1 around to any monitor you want and not have to worry about forgetting to change the profile.

I do use Display Profile, but that only serves to ensure that the display is actually using the correct profile. This comes in handy when you're like me and use a notebook for the actual computing and frequently detach and reattach to the graphics monitor. C1 in its current state would not notice the change.

I have found a workaround, though Phase One should really implement my suggestion about auto-detecting the display profile, then you could easily move the application from display to display arbitrarily as it is running.

Anyway, I am using UltraMon which extends windows multi-monitor flexibility, including the ability to launch an application to any monitor directly, rather than starting on the main display and dragging to the other.

After installing Ultramon, I right clicked Capture One's shortcut icon and selected properties. Then I went to the Ultramon - Window tab and set it to load into "Monitor 2"

C1 appears to use the profile for the 2nd monitor - at least when I desaturate an image completely, it is now perfectly neutral black and white, whereas before it had a magenta cast.
