Not sure how the software would know if the image was Color or B&W, as the program mainly deals with RAW images which unless you are on a very small minority of cameras are always Color. Then what about Sepia colored images, are they color or B&W.
I think the best way could be to add a keyword on the image, with a value of color/bw then only display the ones that set to bw, or just adopt a convention that says all purple tagged images are bw. I think the keyword idea is best as that would be most flexible. But not going to be automatic.

How do I set a keyword on multiple images without resetting the existing ones? 0 -
Hi,
when you're using all the keyword fields then it's not an option for tagging shots as b/w. Only if there's a not used field which would allow to use it for this specific purpose. To copy the content of this field to other images, you open Info (i) - Metadata, copy this to the clipboard (two-arrow symbol) and uncheck then all fields which you don't want to transfer so that only the b/w shots identifying field remains checked. Then you have two options: 1) to go to each b/w image and apply the adjustment = copying the "keyword" from the clipboard to the selected image by pressing the arrow-down on the top right; 2) Select all b/w images first and apply the "keyword"from the clipboard at once.
A different option:
Do you use the stars rating for tagging / qualifying the best images out of a shooting? If not you'd mark all b/w shots with a certain number of rating stars then your images can sorted by this criterium and your b/w shots appear together.0 -

Add the keyword(s) to one image.
You should now see that keyword counted in the Library Tab > Filters section.
Select another image (or a group of images) and drag it (or them) to that filter line and release. The keyword will be added to the image (or images).
If you have selected multiple image be sure to follow the functionality for working on multiple images - typically have the "Edit all Selcted Variants" option enabled.
