lost profiles when uninstalling earlier versions
I uninstalled a couple of earlier versions of C1 and this seems to have wiped out some of my 1Ds profiles, the basic ones like 'daylight' etc. I had some custom profiles as well but these were not touched. Currently running 3.7 LE.
Is this normal? Anyway to avoid it when I uninstall earlier versions? Can I just copy the profiles from a different machine which has an earlier version (I have a laptop with 3.5.2 SE and a 2nd desktop with 3.6 Pro) or do I have to re-install 3.7 (ie, have the profiles for the 1Ds changed between revs)?
If I have to re-install 3.7 how do I keep this from counting as one of my two installs? (I'm still debating whether to put my 2nd legal 3.7 install on the laptop or on a 2nd desktop ... your change in policy on the number of installs is a bit of a pain to many of us with 3 computers).

When uninstalling the software it removes the same files as it installed, so yes this is correct behaviour. 0 -

Ulf, a lot of uninstall utilities will flag files used by other programs and give you the option of uninstalling them or not, which I think is a better way of doing it.
At any rate, now that I know how the uninstaller works I'll wait until I have a new version to install and remove the older version(s) two or more revs back, then install the new one (I like to keep at least the previous working version active). This should keep the profiles etc up to date.
Thanks for the answer.

Bill,
I'm not sure I fully understand your worries, but if you make sure you keep the licence file, \"c1dslr.lic\" you can install and uninstall as many times as you like on the same machine without having to re-activate. The licence file should be valid through version 3.5 -> 3.7 (if I remember correct).
