Capture One cropping images automatically

Why does Capture One 8 (and earlier versions) automatically crop my images? I am shooting with a Nikon D800, and when I open a file in the preview and click on the crop tool, it shows that it has already cropped a small amount of the image. Things at the very edge of the frame are cropped out, and I have to reset the crop tool, though I haven't actually asked it to crop anything. Is there a way to get Capture One to display the entire image to begin with?

  The small edge cropping happens automatically if you have the lens correction feature switched on. When correcting the optical distortion, you are going to create a non-rectangular image and therefore it is cropped to restore the shape.
