Variants?

if i create a new variant, the thumbnail of the image i chose gets a 1 in the top right corner but i can't "unstack" the images? always shows as 1 image in the large viewer and as one thumb with the little 1 in it...any ideas?

  I see this occasionally. I use Windows and assumed it might be a windows related glitch.
  
  It seems to be when creating new variants rather than duplicating an existing variant.
  
  The variant count continues to increase if adding more variants but not all of them appear. If I add a duplicate of the original image it usually works and the variant count allocated will reflect the intervening 'lost' versions.
  
  It is a very rare occurrence and closing the session (in my case) and re-opening seems to resolve the problem so I suspect some problem in the temporary work files area.
  
  Because it is rare and I have never been able to make it happen deliberately to identify a causal sequence that could be tested effectively, I have not reported the problem in a Support Case.
  
  If you have a persistent problem and can readily reproduce it it would be good to create a Case - especially of the log files offer any supporting evidence of the problem.
