Pref-> Exposure values for 5DIV
Hi all,
We have the "Exposure Warning" and "Levels Tool".
We knwo the DR of the 5DIV rather well from DxoMarks, so how can we use those numbers and setup this dialog box to suit us and our specific camera.
In this discussion others may do the same with their and do a proper setup. What would be best is if there was a "set to camera profile defaults" as Phase one should have these numbers as part of their camera profile I would think.

Hi Ron,
The exposure warning tool is based on the exposure you set in camera (aperture/shutter/iso) for any given scene and the adjustments you make to the image in Capture One. It has nothing to do with the dynamic range of the camera. And the levels tool would be adjusted based on similar criteria.
What is it that you are trying to do?0 -
While I have a lot of reservations about C1 10 in combination with my 5D Mark IV (yes, I know this is the C1 11 forum, but I have no reason to believe that PhaseOne have addressed the 5D Mk IV specifically in C1 11), the best way to max out its DR is to ONLY process with Base Characteristics set to Linear, not its default Auto.
I process everything this way now.
D.
Ps. I was given a high DR RAW file today from a Sony a7r iii - DR is huge, shadow detail fabulous, and it's excellent in C1 10.0
