    Thank you Paul. Sorry for the frustration, but I have photo work piled up and have tried to figure this out basically all day. I had an older version and received a new PC for Christmas. When I went to Phase One and downloaded C1 I ended up with v4. I went to C1's help and read the online booklet that came with it and feel that it doesn't explain a lot. Okay, off to see if I can upgrade to 4.6. Maybe that will help this issue. Thanks for your response and help! I'll be back and try to explain myself better if I can't figure it out =)

    Nomand, are up on CO 4.6? If yes, the shift-key modifier does not apply anymore. There is a toggle key instead called 'Edit Primary Variant Only' which need to be switched off to process all selected.

    - User Guide p. 29;
    - Edit menu;
    - Toolbar (button square shape with a 1 in it);

    Still the same, Select 12 images, then process and only one image process, with the primary off... I did read the post above just making sure I didn't forget anything.

    I am baffled. And when you toggle the Edit Primary position? Are you monitoring the Batch tool tab, Queue tab?

    I toggle it on and off try it both ways
    I uninstall the program and went in and delete anything to do with phaseone,
    reinstall it and still having the same problem, work good yesterday when I process a wedding all in JPG went well.

    I try my other computer (capture)studio and it works fine.
    I notice when I right click it doesn't work but it dose process 1 image but when I hit the menu Process it all process the images, Is it suppose to work on right click ??

    Not sure if I understand correctly where you are right-clicking on but I suppose the image. Hmm, not sure that is implemented. Ctrl+D or the process button should work.

    Ctrl+D does the trick, maybe on the next upgrade right will work for groups of images.

    Months of teeth nashing on, I would recommend people keep trying with 4.x, as a hardened 3.7 fan, it took me ages to relearn 4.x, but actually with 4.6 now, there are a lot of gripes ironed out & it works famously on a PC (4x3Ghz, plenty of ram & raid1 scratch disk) and is MUCH more stable. And that little 'hold shift down' batch process thing has been removed, but actually it was never that bad a trick to learn. Thumbnail refresh doesn't look like it will ever be as good as 3.x, but I suspect that most people are working with small numbers of files and not enough people are shouting about it.
    Otherwise, the image quality is phenominal & it really is a fast way of working.
    It will reward you if you stick with it. Incidentally, I found I had to do a couple of reboots to get 4.6 (pro) to do the batch thing properly after glitchy 4.5 for those still suffering...
    Good luck!

    I've used the batch process function successfully before (holding down shift and clicking the process button with numerous images selected) and for some reason it's not working now. It is very easy but I'm in the middle of a job processing hundreds of images and have tried for a couple of hours to figure out what is wrong and it simply will not process more than one at a time. Very frustrating.

    Currently I'm shooting with a 5D Mark 2, sorting by rating, clicking on the first image then shift-clicking to select the rest, then shift-clicking on the process button. And... only one image processes.

    I may to have to revert back to lightroom until I can get this seemingly simple task figured out.

    Page 29 of the User Guide; "How can I edit more caputures at once" (question mark is missing, bad manual).
    Secret is the new 'Edit Primary Variant Only' function, superseding the necessity of the shift-key modifier.
    This is new since CO 4.6 and because you are editing Canon 5D mkII images, you are on CO 4.6/4.6.1.
