1DsIII and 4.5.2- Any View to see image on Camera LCD?
Is there a way to see the capture on the camera's LCD while capturing tethered?
In the same vein is there a way to capture to the camera card as well as the computer?
When I capture with EOS Utility, if I choose Save Also to Card the image will show up on the LCD as well as on the computer screen.
My main wish is to view the current capture on the LCD to check the histogram and IQ, if I'm away from the computer the camera is tethered to.
Thanks in advance- John

John, I do not have a 1Ds III to try, but from the top of my head the answer to both questions is no (sorry for that). Maybe that the CO 4.6 update will bring some news (from the keep hoping department) next month. 0 -

hi john, i asked on the forum a while back about that. the only way to have the pic show u on he canon back when shooting with canon software is to set the camera to copy onto card with raws or jpegs at the same time as tethering. but it seems that canon hasnt offered this to phase one, you can only shoot to the camera, or to the computer, but not not both. i sent a support case about ths, and they are looking into it- but they think it isnt possible unless canon lets them (phase).
i was using canon software to send jpegs to, while writing raws onto cards- it was a very fast way to work- never hitting buffer and being able shoot bursts at 5fps, and being able to see the pic on the camera screen as well. but canon software is crappy.
