Import not updating folders in catalog
I have used Capture One for some years, running the Windows version without problems on Windows 7 in VirtualBox on a Linux system. I now have a Mac mini running Mojave. In the main, C1 12.0.3 runs fine, but import and synchronize cause problems. The files are visible in the Recent Imports folder, but are not moved into the folder structure of the catalog. I have to move the files manually from Recent Imports into the appropriate folder of the catalog. This may involve creating new folders in the catalog.
Any ideas as to why I am encountering this problem, and how to solve it?

When you import the photos, do you specify the folder you want them to appear in? Are you importing from a memory card? Or are you importing from a location on the computer? If it's from a location on the computer, are you leaving the images in that location, or are you getting Capture One to put them in some different location? In the import dialog box, is the Destination field set to Inside Catalog? (If so then the images are being stored inside the catalog itself rather than in a folder on the computer.)

Thanks for your reply. I usually copy the images into a folder in my Pictures folder, and then import to the same location. Selecting Current Location or Inside Catalogue makes no difference: they still do not appear in the catalog folder structure unless I move them manually. I have also tried importing from the card to the image folder with the same results. 0 -
Hard to say what it is without watching the process - probably some simple thing that you are missing. Can you say in detail what steps you take? For example
(1) Click import button
(2) Click Source drop down menu in dialog box
(3)...

PS Where are you in Wales? I'm in Bristol.0 -
I am in Bangor, Gwynedd - wonderful area - ardal hyfryd
1. Click on Import button
2. Set Source to 2019-05
3. Click Include Subfolders, and Exclude Duplicates
4. Destination: Current Location
5. Collection: Recent Imports Only
6. Select: Auto Adjust
7. Select: Open Import Collection When Import Starts
8. Click Import All
Images found in Recent Imports, but not in Library folder, 2019-05. They have to be dragged to the folder0 -
If 2019-05 already exist as a folder, can you see it in the Capture One Library tool? Can you then right click it and choose synchronise?

That's the odd thing. Click Synchronise and I am told that there are no new files, yet the files are not visible unless I drag them from the Import collection to the folder in the Library tree.
Thanks for your help.0 -
Very odd, then. Maybe ask Support to help?
