white balance greyed out with mk3

is the grey balance able to be set when using a canon 1ds mk3? aparently the button works on backs, but it is greyed out when tethered with a canon mk3.

  If you are referring to the tethered mode the answer is that this is a Phase One back only feature to upload greybalance to camera.
  
  But for a Canon you can simply set grey/white balance on a image and if you set "next capture adjustment" to "Copy from last" it will correct white balance on each image as they come in to the computer.
