Auto copying metadata description
As per my old thread:
viewtopic.php?f=57&t=20504&p=108168
I have found that it does not work any longer in 9.1:
How do I do this in Capture One Pro 9.1? The option "Copy from last using Clipboard" is gone... For metadata, there is only a "Copy from Last" and Copy from Primary (neither works). My metadata description field does not get copied any longer.

Nobody? Without this Capture One Pro is useless to me and I'll have to switch to something else. 0 -
In 9.1 I see 5 options listed for how to handle metadata under "Next Capture Adjustments".
Default
Copy from Last
Copy from Primary
Copy Specific from Last
Copy Specific from Primary
The last 2 are, I assume, revised options for the "Copy from Clipboard" option.
I'm tempted to say that if you do not see all 5 options then there is something fundamental that needs to be looked into before going much further.
Moreover if you don't see those options I would strongly suggest you create a Support Case since it would seem you are not seeing what we might expect you to be seeing and on a User to User basis, as this forum operates, I would imagine there would be a lot of guessing in the dark for most responses - like mine.
HTH.

I am seeing those options but selecting them does not work - the metadata entered and ticked does not copy to the next image when I take another capture. 0 -

I wish you had mentioned that in your previous post rather than typing
"For metadata, there is only a "Copy from Last" and Copy from Primary (neither works)".
It would have saved me some time.

I am sorry if I wasted your time. For me as software engineer, when I see options change from:
Capture One Pro 8
- Copy from Last
- Copy from Last using Clipboard
- Copy from Primary
- Copy from Primary using Clipboard
- Copy from Clipboard
to
Capture One Pro 9
- Copy from Last
- Copy from Primary
- Copy specific from Last
- Copy specific from Primary
I consolidate and see <Copy from> ... <Last/Primary> stayed the same, but Clipboard is gone. That was the specific option I was instructed to use to make copying work. Now that option is gone. I have no idea what the word "specific" mean in the new version - it certainly does not resemble Clipboard. Hence my statement that "Copy from last using Clipboard" is missing.
This is the reason why I will most probably be ending my subscription. One cannot just go and change stuff that worked without making it clear how to accomplish the same in the new version. I have spent a couple of hours reviewing release notes etc. and cannot figure this out. This is an absolute deal breaker for me.
Try taking 30GB of photos in a session with a microscope, with stacks of images at similar settings and others different (different objective, aperture, illumination settings, etc.) and not be able to enter that in to the capture frame efficiently.0 -
I'm seeing Copy from Clipboard using 9.1.1.
It's at the bottom of the list of possible options on my system with the option to specify which fields are to be used from the clipboard contents as well as those options appearing in the other settings now available.
I can't vouch for whether they work or not.

That option is only available under "Other", not "Metadata". In any case, it does not work. I logged an issue request and they confirmed it is a bug. 0 -
Hi Pwnell,
For my side, same problem but with ''All Other'', and using ''Copy from Clipboard'' in session tethered. When you create a new or restart an session tethered, no pictures will come in the browser.
Wait and wait, and see... the next update will be fine0
