    Yes, it does.

Does Capture One 6 finally resolve the stalling issue when shooting tethered with a Canon 5D MKII?

That remains to be seen. In testing the software on a 64 Bit i7 Processor, the overall performance is much faster and more stable but that is not conclusive for all users on all machines. Time will tell how well Canon's SDK is.

I've just tested on a Quad core with 16Gb RAM and it was working really well. I have my USB plugged into the monitor, which I've been told can help. Normally I use a repeater, but this is just a 10ft cable.
The Capture Pilot on my iPad couldn't write the large previews quickly enough, but it was doing a reasonable job of drawing the thumbnails. If you had a client wanting to see large previews immediately as you shot, they'd be disappointed, but for a slower lifestyle of still-life shoot,it'd be fantastic.
We'll see how it handles on my laptop, that could be another matter!

My fingers and toes are crossed. On my first attempt on tethering with C1 6 things went well. After months of issues I am hopeful that the problems have been addressed. I have yet to try it on an intense shoot but have some coming up.
Thanks to Phase one for this improved software!

I am pleased to say that on the shoots I have done C1 6 is working very well.
I am not experiencing the stalls and crashes I have been experiencing with earlier versions.

Same here, it seems to work "much" faster and safier with C1 v.6 and Canon 5D MarkII 's latest SDK (v. 2.0.8, if no mistake), finally ! 😊
    Thanks' to both parties.
    Philippe.

Just when I thought everything was going well a bug developed. I find that today I was doing an assignment where I had to create three separate sessions and jump back and forth between them. I found that when I quit one session and went to one of the others my 5DII would not connect unless I restarted my Macbook Pro OS 10.6.5. I am not sure what is going on but the captures went smoothly once I was able to connect.
I tried to start a support case but the link does not seem to be working.

I tried a test back in the studio and of course everything worked perfectly well. Maybe it was the cord. I have another shoot tomorrow and let's see what happens.

As a small tip. If you are switching from one Session to another, select "None" from the connected camera location prior to going to the other session. This disconnects the driver, then you can reallocate the driver to the other session.
