Although you can't see the thumbnails in the Import window, are the images listed or enumerated? Is the import dialog pointing to the proper folder? Has it worked in the past in the same combination of hardware/software?

To rule out the images can be read, can you open them in CO7? Alternatively, once copied with Finder from card, can you import them (just to check whether import works with the same files)?

    Hi Paul
No the images aren't listed at all in C1. In the Import Dialogue, all I get is circling timer at the bottom of the dialogue box. It's definitely pointing at the correct folder. Yes, all the the images can by C1 after downloading via Finder. Haven't tried importing them after downloading, will give that a go tomorrow. I'm probably going to un-install & re-install tomorrow also.

Not sure an Uninstall/Reinstall is the solution here.
If the software is trying to read the card but can't, the issue is likely going to be related to the card/card reader itself an/or another program (image capture?) that is reading the card at the same time Capture One is trying to do so.
