5DMkII images won´t focus...
Hi,
It seems that C1 4.6 shows my 5DMkII images out-of-focus...unless I zoom to 100%
Anyone else experiencing the same problem ?
Edit: Well, as it turned out...it does focus after all. But if it´s a heavily detailed image, the focusing seems to take forever and in some cases it will not happen no matter how long you wait...

i think you'll find that they're slightly out of focus, until you zoom to 67%.
if you zoom to 67% or closer, capture one will render that part of the image, if you zoom less, it will use a preview.0 -
Hei,
I have the same kind of problem:
After starting C1 4.6.2, when zooming my normal size RAW images from 5DMkII to 100 % display, I will get only first 1...5 photos in focus, in acceptable time as well, the next images will not focus at all up to this size. Camera SW is the latest 1.0.7.
Has anybody else faced the same?
I'm running XP2 SP3 with latest updates, with 3M RAM.
(Hopefully not a finnish only problem 😐 )

Hi, I am running Capture One Pro 5 and have exactly the same problem. My images won't focus the spinning icon for the focussing tool is present to show that it is working but from checking windows task manager I can see that there is no CPU usage, ie. nothing is happening. Did you find a solution? 0 -

Note sure but have you tried 5.0.1 already?0 -
Julian,
Your issue actually sounds a bit different. If your files will not focus when you're zoomed in, please create a support case and we can look into it.
In the original case I think the issue was related to viewing an un-sharpened preview as appose to the image at 100%.0 -
Hello,
I am running Capture One Pro 5.0.2 and have exactly the same problem: my images won't focus?!?
The green focus mask show the focus areas in the image but at 100% the image is pixelated.
Did you find a solution?
Sincerely Yours - Tiberius
P.S. No problem with the focus in Lightoom 3!0 -
Tiberius,

I'm having the same problem as the original poster, every single frame appears to be out of focus. Zooming up to 67 % solves the problem, but it really is annoying not to be able to check the focus right on the spot.
Weird thing is that Capture One used to do the focusing correctly while the image was sized to fit the window. After I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 C1 started to act up.
While running C1 hogs up a fair amount of memory but processor loads are low. Selecting an image in the browser makes the load climb up to 32 % for about a second and after that it comes down to 0 % and delivers an OOF image.
Pictures are taken with EOS 50D and 400D. Capture One 4.8.3.

Lasse,
Use the Focusing Tool in Capture One 5. That is the most accurate way to check the focus and not have to zoom into 100%. The separate window, in the PRO Mode, can be placed wherever you need it.0
