    These files are safe to delete but you may not want to delete all of them. .c1w are "work" files and hold the settings changes you make to an image. The .c1p files are preview files (the preview images you see on screen) and take up a lot of space. Both are stored in a folder called the Preview Cache.

    You can archive your settings file for selected captures in the Workflow menu>Selected Capture Settings which saves them to a folder of your choice, allowing you to delete the settings and preview files from the preview cache. You can restore them later by choosing restore from archive from the same menu path.

    You can set how long Capture One will hold onto the preview and work files by setting the Preview Cache preferences in Capture One's application preferences.
