Live View Video Capture
Hi,
i'm trying to capture video in tethered mode but there's only a Button to capture a photo.
How i can remotely start a video capture?

I think it's the small button beside the big capture button. This button is unfortunately deactivated.
The camera used is a Sony a7r II.
Thanks a lot

Capturing video over a tethered is not supported, neither by CO or the camera.
The disabled Liveview button is disabled, because the camera does not support live-view via tethering.0 -
thanks for the sad news ;(
After a short Test with Canon 5d i think it's an CO Issue. Tethered video does not work too.
With Canon Utilities 3 it is possible to shoot tethered video.0 -
What exactly do you mean by "shoot tethered video" ? 0 -
i will use CO to set an image overlay to the live view. This is possible for now but i can't start the video recording by clicking on a software-button.
It's not necessary to store the footage on Computer. I only need a remote record start.[quote="Christian Gruner" wrote:

The button is for opening and closing the Live view stream.
It basically has nothing to with video as such (as it cannot be recorded), but instead it provides a stream direct from the sensor.
In case of the a7r2, the camera simply does not provide this feed, and then CO of course cannot display it.0
