What sort of files are in the folder you are pointing to?

Which mode of the trial options are you selecting?

They are CR2 files contained in a folder on the hard drive.
I am selecting the Pro version at start up and the import images option on the main screen

Are the CR2 files from a supported camera?

Yes the webside confirms that CR2 files are supported on the camera which is a Canon 80D

Does anything happen if you click on Import All?

    Session of Catalogue?

If you open a session and then just navigate to the folder in the Library > System Folders option do you then see the Browser with thumbnails?

When Importing you only select the folder in which the images reside - don't go into the folder to 'find' the images. (Mentioned just in case you have as that is an easy and natural thing to do without even thinking about it!)

    Thanks for your reply.
If I import all only the JPEG is visible or accecible. The problem occurs both in catalogue and session. To illustrate the problem I have just created a folder on the desktop with three new CR2 photos taken from the Canon camera. I have selected the "Import images" option and numer of images in the folder is correctly displayed at the top of the screen i.e "3 Images" the option at the bottom to "Import all" is also available. The images are not previewed however. The main part of that screen is therefore blank. If I import all three CR2 images to the same folder it creates three duplicates. I can only view these by coming out of Captureone and opening the folder on the desktop. Again none of the images are visible within Captureone. Catalogue collection is showing 0. Recent images is also 0. If I navigate to the folder within Captureone it too indicates no photos in the folder.

I did not have backup enabled on the Import images screen.

    Frank,

OK, I vaguely recalled some special notes for the 80D and sure enough the release notes mention that the mRAW format is not supported.

Is it possible that you are using mRAW settings for your CR2 files?

In which case the files will be seen and counted (as CR2 files) but C1 will not interpret them for RAW conversion.

Beyond that I have no other suggestions other than to create a Support Case and contact the C1 Support Team for further assistance. They are usually pretty quick to replay and very helpful.

    HTH.

Yes that is the problem. I was aware that the camera was supported. I had read this elsewhere but did not appreciate that mRaw files were not supported. I think this makes it more difficult for me to consider moving from Lightroom to C1 as many of my photos are mRAW. Lightroom doent have a problem with them. However at least I know the source of the problem.
Many thanks for your help with this
