C1 and Crossfire / SLI configuration
Hi guys,
This week I tried to calibrate my two screens to get the colors "right". During this I ran into some technical stuff...
One thing: Windows seems to be unable to assign a calibrated profile to each screen/GPU because I'm using a Radeon R290X. W10 (and any other version) cannot tell each port to use a profile.
Of course with a FX or FireGL this is no problem.
Another way to get it working is to add another GPU...
Sooooo...
Is there more to gain IF I added another R290X, should I connect it in Crossfire or as a seperate/second GPU and how does this affect performance?
Have a nice day!

Adding another GPU is no problem for CO. It will recognize it and use it for processing.
Crossfire is no benefit for Capture One.0 -
Thanks Christian,
A question you probably saw coming: will adding a second GPU double the processing power / reduce render time by 50%?
(I was astonished by the difference after I added the R290X)0 -
It will cut the raw compute time to 50%. However, there is much more to processing that just computing the pixels. Raw-data have to be read, and the bitmaps have to be compressed and saved.
So, depending on your system (especially your CPU and Disk), you will see different amounts of performance-gain by adding an extra GPU.0
