I think the second question comes first. What is it what you want to achieve? What are your requirements? This should help you answer your second question. If this is a 'Yes', then the workflow from question 1 can be defined. If it is a 'No', we can let question 1 unanswered.

There is not one or a single Capture One - Media Pro workflow. There are multiple. Much depends on your requirements.
That said, there are currently some known issues with CO8 and MP 1.4. An MP update is required for all options to work but again it depends whether this today affect your workflow.

    2. do i need Media Pro used with C1 8 ?

    thanks !

    1. Create a new session/catalog.
    2. Either tether your camera and shoot some photos, or import existing photos.
    3. Edit your captures and export any selects.

    Media Pro is not required.

well this is what i need,
i want to have control on my pictures and files on the mac ❗️
i use main catalog for all my pictures and want to edit my Picture with C1 or Photoshop ... or authors vendors which i like
or send them with a Mail or build them in Pages or Keynote .... what ever .....
i know that Media Pro can do that , but can some one show me a functional way to manage alle these files on Imac and with
using C1 8 for editing RAWs Pictures !
this workflow must have at leas some kind of automation and flexibility to work with, right now i am getting crazy when using MP to C1 8 on the Imac, bunch of crash's and no right thumbnail Photos changes are showed,to much clicks on booths programs sides 😡
    and no good results.

    thanks for Help
